Let the riders all come home
let the blade rend flesh from bone
real justice shall they bring
falsehoods pummeled to nothing
man and woman, hail the dawn
a foundation, build upon
what once was lost is won
creatures reach to linger on
maps and borders warp and change
but the holy law remains
the noble few, aristocrats
of the soul and of the blood
raise the masses, raise the flags
raise the sword and with it stand
bring it down and tear asunder
wield the hammer, call the thunder
hear the drums of war ring out
hear the men, they call and shout
for the king to break the curse
for the next life, we shall rehearse
and after all, this bitter fight
hope's new beacon shall alight
what's destroyed is now remade
the debt of blood is now repaid

Excellent medieval folk, IGR, & those with ears to hear. I love the sense of mysticism and deep, introspective ponder this album conveys, & the honest down-to-earth folky lyrics. Simply wonderful yet soulfully rich. Highlights for me are tracks 2, 5, 6, & 12. IGR truly capture what I feel is an authentic sense of a medieval bard at a woodland rill pondering the mysteries of life. Highly recommended. 8.5+/10. Alrihkh

L'envoûtement est bien au rendez-vous. Écouter cet album, c'est se plonger dans un état méditatif, empreint de profondeur, de gravité et, peut-être, d' un peu de mélancolie. 5/5 baudelagon
