With slow decay
all else falls astray
and without being ever asked
losing sight of love & the past
someone's grinning, but it's not you or I
the enemy within gives a bitter war cry
to do as was said, but not as what's done
live in fear while the liars have their fun
with prayers for strength from above
to defend to the end, the love
against the eldritch multitudes
darkest darkness, endless platitudes
will you watch and learn
or face away as our world burns?
may bright stars arise
and stem the tide of this downward demise
and may there be no compromise
with any bargain that evil could devise
and toward this I do pray
that by God we'll have our home one day
and let this be an ode
to that we'll find our heart's true abode
abode

Excellent medieval folk, IGR, & those with ears to hear. I love the sense of mysticism and deep, introspective ponder this album conveys, & the honest down-to-earth folky lyrics. Simply wonderful yet soulfully rich. Highlights for me are tracks 2, 5, 6, & 12. IGR truly capture what I feel is an authentic sense of a medieval bard at a woodland rill pondering the mysteries of life. Highly recommended. 8.5+/10. Alrihkh

L'envoûtement est bien au rendez-vous. Écouter cet album, c'est se plonger dans un état méditatif, empreint de profondeur, de gravité et, peut-être, d' un peu de mélancolie. 5/5 baudelagon
